One must watch the right lane on a bridge on i95 just North of the South Carolina border.
We're fine and the skid plate and the harbor freight tray took most of the hit. All of the fiberglass was untouched. The safety chains worked well. I believe it was such a bad dip in the road that the car bottomed out and the skid plate hit so hard that the ball was ejected. I jacked it up with a 2 ton bottle jack and got it high enough to get it back on the wheel jack. The safety chains have outer plastic scratched, but seem ok. We now notice after a few of the bridges, skid marks and scrapes, possibly the safe senario. I put it back on the hitch and was not able to eject it using the wheel jack. On we go.
